What's our policy?
CAF-FCA is committed to protecting the privacy of its clients and we have taken strong measures to ensure that the information we gather from you will be secure and confidential. The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum – Forum canadien sur l’apprentissage (CAF-FCA) is committed to protecting and safeguarding the personal information it collects. CAF-FCA provides this Privacy Policy Statement to inform you of our privacy policy and practices as well as of the choices you can make on how your personal information is collected and used. We will not disclose or use any of your personal information other than for its intended purposes set out in the CAF-FCA’s mandate without obtaining consent from you. We will also ensure that any third parties contracted by CAF-FCA, are compliant with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents (PIPED) Act. This statement applies to all CAF-FCA’s owned websites and domains. CAF-FCA protects your electronic and paper based data with security systems to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure or misuse.

Our websites have been structured so that, in general, you can visit CAF-FCA on the web without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. We do not use our website to gather any personal information other than that which you affirmatively agree to supply to us. This information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail or signing a “Consent Form”, (Form 1). Any personal information you do provide is protected under the Federal Privacy Act. This means that, at the point of collection, you will be informed that your personal information is being collected, the purpose for which it is being collected and that you have a right of access to the information. This notice is available on our homepage and at the bottom of every CAF-FCA’s web page.

What information do we need and what do we do with it?
The information we need when you communicate online with CAF-FCA includes your name, email address, mailing address, phone and fax.

How do we protect your information?
We make sure that every online communication with our clients meets our high standards of privacy and security. In the case of credit card transactions, we do this by using a secure server with software that encrypts all of your confidential information before you send it to us. In addition, we take strong measures to protect all customer data against unauthorized access.

Do we have "cookies"?
Cookies are small bytes of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. CAF-FCA does not currently use cookies.

Will CAF-FCA share any of my personal information?
Absolutely NOT! That's why it's personal. CAF-FCA will not trade, sell or rent your personal information (such as name, address, phone number, or company name) to third parties without your consent. And, we also protect your privacy by limiting employee access to and use of customer data. While we may provide statistics to outside companies about our website traffic and related site information, it will not include any personally identifying information.

Will CAF-FCA change its policy?
When you use the CAF-FCA web site you consent to the collection and use of your information by CAF-FCA. If we alter our privacy policy in any way we will post those changes here so you can be aware of anything that may affect you in the way we disclose information.
